An Actual-Play Tabletop RPG Podcast, playing various RPG systems in short story-arcs. An immersive audio experience, complete with originally composed musical soundtracks and sound effects.
Pretending With Dice is a Tabletop-RPG actual-play podcast, hosted and game-mastered by Adam Johnston (@ajheretic666 on Twitter). Each episode is intented to be a fully-immersive audio experience, marrying the gameplay with sound-effects and original music.
Episodes release every two weeks on a Thursday, with occasional bonus episodes on intervening Thursdays.
We play various different RPG systems, in short story-arcs, with a rotating group of players. Story-arcs are usually between 6 and 12 episodes in length, so there is always a convenient jumping-on point for new listeners.
Game systems we have so far played on the podcast include - Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, Star Trek Adventures, Star Wars: Saga Edition, Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition, Things From The Flood, Shadowrun 5th Edition and The End Of The World. We plan to continue to expand this list of systems as we release new episodes.
Our full listing of stories, organised by game-system, can be found in our Story Arc Directory page. Find something new to listen to today!
All of our Dungeons and Dragons stories are set within our own homebrew setting of Vallanna, which has its own page over on World Anvil. Check it out here - Vallanna on World Anvil.
